Awʌ́hihteˀ, Strawberry Mourning is a participatory film installation exploring presence, memory, and connection through dance, experimental film, original music, and guided movement. Responding to “This is Not a Landmark,” the work shifts attention from permanent structures toward temporary acts of gathering and shared embodied experience. Projected film, sound, voice, and movement transform public space into an ephemeral place of encounter. Through simple invitations to slow down, listen, move, and gather, participants collectively shape the work as it unfolds. Awʌ́hihteˀ, Strawberry Mourning asks: What if a landmark is not a structure, but a moment of shared attention; held briefly in bodies, relationships and memory?
