Calling all future artists, architects and engineers.

What does it take to turn an idea into something real? Explore architecture from first sketch to final structure with the London Children’s Museum. Get inspired by real architectural drawings, experiment with structure and stability, and discover what happens when it’s time to knock it all down.

Drop in, follow your curiosity and explore the creative process behind the places and spaces all around us!

Build a Blueprint
Every great structure starts with an idea! Take a closer look at real architectural blueprints from the London Children’s Museum’s first home, then put pencil to paper and dream up a space of your own. What will you design?

Steady Structures
What makes a structure stand strong? Stack, balance and experiment with wooden blocks to explore how different designs respond to the forces around them. Try an idea, put it to the test and see where your next design takes you!

Construction Destruction
What happens when a structure needs to come down? Put on your safety goggles, create a structure from foam pieces, discover how demolition can be done safely and then step up to the mini wrecking ball and send your creation tumbling!
